Please Go Green!

This afternoon I read a magazine article about how important it is for us, the new generation, to ‘go green’. It mentioned several importance of being more environmentally friendly in this new age.

The main theme of the article is that starting from now on, it is the time for we human being to stop polluting the world and starts to protect it adn to go green. It encourages us to make some celebrities who are green supporters our role model. For example it mentioned that President Obama now chooses to use low energy consuming car, ‘hybrid car’.

The car may be too expensive for most of us. But it doesn’t mean that we do not have to take actions to protect our world and get green. Some times before there was a program urging people in all parts of the world to turn off lights for around an hour. Meaningful programs like this should always be held to raise our attention towards the seriousness of the matter.

Recycling and reusing plastic bags would definitely do well to planet Earth. Sometimes we just buy very little things from store, there’s no point and not green for us to get a big plastic bag and throw it away immediate after using it once. Please reuse, reduce and recycle.

Each day we have lots of notes and things that we need to mark down on paper sheets, this creates a large amount of wastage if we do not try hard to use both sides of the sheets. Another environmental problem created by use of paper is that, people try to use a lot of wrapping paper sheets whenever they are giving our presents. Is that really necessary? Of course not! One layer of wrapping would not make the receiver less happy or green!

Many companies in the past like to post greeting cards to their customers during greeting seasons. Now most of them choose to use e-cards. When we want to send greetings to our friends or clients, why not use e-cards? It’s greener.

Think that e-cards are not sweet enough? No worry, you can now draw your OWN e-cards and DIY them for your friends and suit your needs! These DIY cards can be as sweet as paper cards, and you can develop your own design talents and at the same time, be GREEN!

If you don’t want your grandsons and granddaughters to live in a highly-polluted world, from now on, please be greener. Use everything wisely. All in all, the World is ours. Please love it and protect it.
